We have no plans at present to institute a charge to members of the Heart Platform.
Can I plug in headphones:
Yes, there is a 3.5 mm port at the back of the Box. This was originally designed for the 1950’s transistor radio and is now in almost universal use, on phones, laptops etc.
Where is the audio played from?
The audio is stored locally on the Box’s SD card.
Can I use my Box without Wi-Fi?
Yes, but only once you have your audio loaded onto the SD card, then you can take it to the remotest part of your museum, and it will still work as long as it has power.
How much Audio can I put on the Box?
Each box comes with a standard 16GB SD card. This will allow you close to 24HRS worth of audio. The audio is stored on the card in WAV format – so if you upload MP3 files to the Heart Platform then it will convert them to WAV when it downloads them.
What is the Heart Platform?
Once you have bought a box and your order is fulfilled then an account is automatically created for you on the heart platform. https://heart.museuminabox.org/
It is on the Heart Platform that you will upload your audio to and from where it can be downloaded to your Box.
